Fertility clinic SEO and AI search visibility

We do fertility clinic SEO from the operator side. Sahil Mehta co-owns Vrinda Fertility, an IVF clinic group with clinics in Ashok Vihar in Delhi, Sector 22 in Noida and Dehradun. We run fertility clinics ourselves, and that is the credential we bring.

IVF clinic SEO starts with the same baseline we run on our own clinics: the Maps grid, review pace, and the answers ChatGPT and Gemini give for the area.

Why an IVF clinic co-owner is writing this

Sahil Mehta co-owns Vrinda Fertility. The clinic work and the search work happen in the same place, so a page has to be correct enough for a clinician to sign, and the Google profile has to match the door.

We have one clinic group and no US case studies. The Vrinda Ashok Vihar report is public and dated, so you can check the numbers yourself.

What we measure for IVF clinics

A baseline for a fertility clinic covers five things.

  • The Maps grid around the clinic, for the local terms a patient would actually type.
  • Review count and reviews in the last 90 days, set against the clinics ranked above you.
  • The answers ChatGPT and Gemini give to five patient questions, asked twice each, and the sources those answers cite.
  • Your pages: how many name the area, and what the titles say.
  • Schema, AI crawler access, and whether your facts match across listings.

We repeat the AI answer collection every month, so the report shows the wording change rather than a claim about it.

What the numbers looked like at Vrinda Ashok Vihar

On 22 October 2026 we ran the full baseline on the Vrinda clinic in Ashok Vihar. Everything below comes from public Google Maps and review data. Neighboring clinics are anonymized here as Clinic A, Clinic B and so on, and those labels are used below. Vrinda is named because it is ours.

  • 8 like-for-like IVF clinics within 2.5 km. Vrinda ranked #2 by total reviews with 282. By reviews in the last 90 days it ranked #6 with 11, against 39, 28 and 24 for the clinics above it.
  • Clinic A and Clinic B share one address. Between them they collected 67 reviews in 90 days.
  • We asked ChatGPT and Gemini five patient questions about IVF around Ashok Vihar, twice each on each engine. 16 answers came back (some Gemini calls failed). The most-named neighbor appeared in 7, Vrinda in 5.
  • Across all 47 local AI answers we collected for Vrinda’s three centers, 23 cited a Google Maps listing as a source (Gemini 11 of 17, ChatGPT 12 of 30).
  • None of Vrinda’s 80 pages had "Ashok Vihar" in the page title. The most-named neighbor’s homepage title did.
  • The Maps grid showed the clinic in the top 3 at its own door, fading beyond about 5 km.

So a clinic that ranked second by total reviews in that set ranked sixth on 90-day pace, none of its 80 page titles named the area, and 23 of the 47 local AI answers we collected cited a Google Maps listing.

What we would fix first at a new fertility client

Fertility clinic marketing splits into paid and local. We work on the local half, and the order below is the order we run on our own clinics.

  1. Area pages. One page per clinic location, naming the neighborhood in both the title and the first paragraph.
  2. The Google profile. Correct categories, treatments, hours, photos, and answers to the questions your front desk already handles by phone.
  3. Review invitations within the rules. Every patient, with no incentives and no gating.
  4. Schema and consistent facts. MedicalClinic markup, and the same address and phone on every listing you own.
  5. AI crawler access. Robots rules that let GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot read the site.

Timelines, in ranges

We do not promise rankings or AI mentions, and AI answers change run to run. These are typical industry ranges, not promises: correct brand facts in AI answers 2 to 6 weeks, first mentions on niche or local questions 1 to 3 months, competitive "best IVF clinic" questions 3 to 6 months. Engagements run three months minimum.

Questions from clinic owners

Is SEO worth it for an IVF clinic if our patients come by referral?

A referral is one route to a clinic. The other is a local search: a map, a few listings, and now an AI answer. We work on the second.

How is fertility clinic SEO different from other medical SEO?

The local set of clinics is small. In the Vrinda Ashok Vihar report, 8 like-for-like IVF clinics sat within 2.5 km, so we measure review count and 90-day pace against those 8 rather than against a whole city.

Can you write treatment pages without medical input from us?

No. We draft from your own published material and your clinicians correct it. Anything about success rates, protocols or eligibility comes from your medical team.

Do you work alongside a fertility marketing agency running our ads?

Yes. We stay on the organic and local side. If you want one agency to cover paid and organic together, we are not the fit, and we will say so early.

The full data set is in the sample AI visibility report. What an engagement includes is on the services page, and other practices are covered in healthcare SEO.
