Healthcare SEO agency for clinics and medical practices

TheAiThos is a healthcare SEO agency working with clinics and medical practices. We measure your Google Maps position around your own address, the pace of your reviews, and whether ChatGPT or Gemini names your practice when a patient asks for a doctor nearby.

SEO for medical practices is mostly local work, and we work on the parts of it a practice can change.

What a local search returns

A local search returns a map with a few practices on it, their review counts and links to their listings. Google says those results are based mainly on relevance, distance and prominence. Relevance is how well your listing matches the search, distance is how far you are from the person searching, and prominence is how well known your practice is.

Categories, services, hours and the treatment names a patient would type are the parts of relevance a practice controls, and they are where we start.

Google Maps: the grid check

Local SEO for doctors starts with a grid check: the same search run from points around your address, out to a few miles. That shows where you hold a top place and where you drop out. At Vrinda Fertility in Ashok Vihar, the clinic held the top 3 at its own door and faded beyond about 5 km.

Then the profile itself: primary and secondary categories, the service list, hours including holidays, photos, and the questions your front desk already answers by phone, written where Google can read them.

Reviews and review pace

We measure two numbers for every practice: total reviews, and reviews in the last 90 days. In the Vrinda Ashok Vihar report, Vrinda had 282 reviews in total, ranked #2 among 8 like-for-like IVF clinics within 2.5 km, and 11 reviews in the last 90 days, ranked #6. Clinic A and Clinic B, at one address, collected 67 reviews in 90 days between them.

We write the ask, the timing and the reminder for your front desk, so it reaches every patient and stays inside each platform’s rules. We do not gate, discount or buy reviews.

AI answers for medical practices

ChatGPT and Gemini answer patient questions with a short list and a few cited sources. Across all 47 local AI answers we collected for Vrinda’s three centers, 23 cited a Google Maps listing as a source (Gemini 11 of 17, ChatGPT 12 of 30). Close to half, so the listing and the site have to agree on every fact.

We ask the questions patients ask, in the words they use, and record who gets named. That record goes into the monthly report next to the Maps numbers.

Consistent facts across the web

Name, address, phone, hours and treatment list should match on your site, your Google profile and the directories that carry you. When they disagree, a model can quote the version that is wrong. We write the facts once and update each listing from that set.

HIPAA-safe by design

We never handle patient records or patient data. Our inputs are public listings, your published pages and aggregate analytics.

What we measure before we change anything

  • A Maps grid check around your address, for your main search terms.
  • Your review count and your reviews in the last 90 days, set against the practices ranked above you.
  • Answers from ChatGPT and Gemini to patient questions for your area, asked twice each.
  • Your pages: which services and areas each one covers, and what the titles say.
  • Your schema, and whether AI crawlers can fetch the site at all.

The one we ran is dated and sourced, so you can check it.

Questions from practice managers

Can a practice reach the Maps pack without hundreds of reviews?

Review count is one input, not the only one. Google says local results are based mainly on relevance, distance and prominence. We measure your review total and your 90-day pace against the practices ranked above you, and work on the parts you control. At Vrinda Ashok Vihar, 282 total reviews ranked #2 among 8 like-for-like clinics within 2.5 km, and 11 reviews in 90 days ranked #6.

Does this work touch patient data?

No. We never handle patient records or patient data. Our inputs are public listings, your published pages and aggregate analytics.

Do you work with practices that have several locations?

Yes. Each location needs its own page, its own Google profile and its own review invitations, because distance is one of the three factors Google names.

How do you handle medical advertising rules?

Claims stay factual and we avoid superlatives and before-and-after imagery. Anything about outcomes, protocols or eligibility comes from your clinicians. If your specialty or state has rules on patient testimonials, we follow the version you give us.

See the sample AI visibility report for the full data set, or the services page for what an engagement includes. Fertility clinics have their own page.
